Taylor has attended Northampton College as an apprentice for the last four years and has been successful in achieving both his Apprenticeship and, most recently, his Advanced Apprenticeship in mechanical manufacturing engineering.
His engineering talents were recognized at an early stage by his tutors as he has a natural ability for engineering, always working to very high standards.
Taylor was nominated to compete in the regional heats of the UK Skills competition in manufacturing engineering in which he gained first place and received outstanding comments from the judges. He was then selected from the regional winners to compete in the UK Skills finals at the NEC in November this year.
His commitment and focus on his work never waned despite the added pressure of becoming a father during his studies.
